The Oak Room – a members-only private executive club at Nexus, Bangsar South – participated in the 15th Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2015, a month long feast of flavours with over 20 participating ine dining restaurants in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor in October. A first time participant of the festival, The Oak Room was lauded for its bespoke festival menu, specially crafted by Chef Fong Teck Fei for the dining pleasure of gourmet seekers and fine cuisine lovers.
It was presented with five outstanding awards at the festival’s closing ceremony that was held at Connexion@Nexus Grand Ballroom. They included Festival Diners’ Choice Awards – Most Outstanding Soup; Festival Diners’ Choice Awards – Most Outstanding Main Course – Fish/Poultry; Judges’ Choice Awards – Most Value Menu of The Festival; People’s Choice Awards – Most Popular Restaurant at the VIP Gala Launch – Taste Sovereigns Collected; and People’s Choice Awards – Best Marketed Restaurant.
